ABOUT ME

My practice is a high net worth, tax practice focused on both the domestic and international aspects of estate planning and family wealth transfer.

I specialize exclusively in estate planning and administration, including nonprofit (including private foundations), estate, gift, trust, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, marital property planning, property agreements, charitable giving, family business succession, business formation and planning, and asset protection. I also focus on estate and trust administration, related litigation, and provide mediator services. I advise various clients on domestic and international tax matters and consult on divorce matters in connection with complex marital estates.

My goal is to educate and empower people of every age about the necessity of protecting and preserving their assets as they go through various stages of life. Using creative and customized strategies modified to meet your specific needs, I will help you plan for your family and business needs while protecting your assets.

Education & Experience

I graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida, and then completed my LL.M. (Master of Laws Degree) in Estate Planning through the Heckerling Graduate Program in Estate Planning at the University of Miami School of Law.

The Heckerling Graduate Program allowed me to develop a high level of technical expertise regarding both the tax and non-tax aspects of estate planning and administration. Since 2014, I have practiced law in Florida and Texas. I am Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, which is the most advanced specialty designation given by the State Bar of Texas in the area of estate planning and probate. I maintain active licenses to practice law in the states of Texas and Florida.

Estate Planning With A Purpose

Estate planning and administration can be overwhelming. My goal is to clarify the process so you can make informed choices: explaining complex legal concepts in simple terms, laying out your options, and walking you through each step. I offer a streamlined and refreshingly approach to this specialty of law.

Today, many families are beautifully blended with children from a previous marriage, adopted, or those with special needs. When families are combined, so too are their assets. I design and implement a customized plan for all of these components to navigate the many different dynamics and to protect assets.

Realizing that many young families and women are unprepared for a sudden occurrence of health or financial disruption, I am interested in educating and empowering others to take control of their lives, especially working and stay-at-home mothers. I seek out opportunities to speak about the importance of knowing their assets and the benefits of planning. In doing so, they are equipped to control their future and create an estate plan to protect those assets. Knowledge is power.

Community Involvement & Memberships

I am dedicated to giving back to the community through service, community involvement, speaking engagements, and volunteer activities. I have served on the Town of Prosper Community Engagement Committee and as a Prosper Education Foundation board member.

I am a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law (REPTL) Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Business Law, Tax Law, and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar. I am also a member of the Denton County Bar Association and its Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law section, the Collin County Bar Association and its respective Estate Planning and Probate section, as well as the North Texas Estate Planning Council.
